Alison Henry is an interior architect and furniture designer renowned for her ability to create spaces tailored to the needs of the modern family while invoking a sense of grandeur and timelessness. Whether crafting interiors for homes, hotels, or luxury yachts, Alison specialises in designing spaces that seamlessly integrate with their architectural surroundings and withstand the test of time.

Born in New Zealand, Alison spent much of her childhood in Asia, fostering a worldly perspective that informs her work. Her extensive travels between Europe, Asia, New Zealand, and the US have enriched her design sensibilities and provided her with a diverse cultural understanding.

Alison gained prominence while working at Richmond International, where she contributed to major hotel projects, including the refurbishment of iconic establishments such as the Dorchester Hotel in London and the Peninsula Hotel in Hong Kong. During her tenure, Alison played a pivotal role in establishing the company's presence in Hong Kong.

In 1992, Alison established her eponymous design studio, Alison Henry Design, in Hong Kong. Since then, she has continued to work with the Peninsula Hotel and undertaken prestigious hospitality and residential projects worldwide. Notable endeavours include the design of Michael Kors' Celine retail stores in Hong Kong, the reimagining of the Mandarin Oriental Hotel, and the creation of bespoke interiors for private yachts. Additionally, her line of furnishings and accessories reflects her distinctive aesthetic and commitment to quality craftsmanship. Over the years she has become known for creating interiors that are not just luxurious and aspirational but comfortable and inviting to one and all.

Having relocated her practice to Belgravia, London, Alison now focuses on serving residential clients locally and internationally. Whether it’s a short consultancy on the perfect space optimisation or a full-period home refurbishment that begins with knocking down walls and ends with appointing bespoke furnishings, Alison's wealth of experience ensures a seamless and efficient process for her clients.

Drawing upon her extensive network of suppliers and artisans cultivated over years of global travel, Alison consistently delivers bespoke solutions tailored to her client’s unique needs. If a desired element cannot be found, Alison is known to design and produce it herself, including her signature line of scents and home accessories.
